As the two-time defending champion, Linda Rahm with Team Stena Bulk was under heavy pressure during this year’s competition and was unfortunately unable to repeat her performance from previous years, finishing in tenth place.

Lysekil Women's Match/ ISAF Women's Match Racing World Championship 2009 is the world’s largest match racing event for women with a EUR 50,000 prize, This year, the races in Lysekil had World Championship status for the first time.
