Andrew Watson

Andrew Watson, born 1968, is currently Vice President and Head of Stena Bulk Singapore and a Director of Stena Bulk UK Limited. He has wide-ranging experience in the shipping industry including seven years sea service as deck officer, two years in technical management, one year in commercial management and five years as a shipbroker. He holds a Masters Mariner Certificate and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers.

Andrew served at sea with Shell for seven years on various vessels in their fleet obtaining his Master Mariners Certificate and a Higher National Diploma in Nautical Science before moving ashore with the company. Andrew then spent two years in the Shell Head Office as both a Fleet Superintendent and Safety Superintendent before moving into Shell's commercial division. A year later Andrew joined EA Gibson Shipbrokers where he worked for five years developing the companies north sea aframax business before leaving the broking desk to join StenTex/Stena in 1999. Andrew was made Chartering Manager in 2000 before taking over joint responsibility, as Commercial Director, for the London office in 2001. In 2004 Andrew moved, with his family, to Singapore to take over that office and responsibility for the Asia Pacific region.

Andrew is married, he and his wife have three children and, when not spending time with them, enjoys cricket, golf and tennis.
