John Latrobe

John Latrobe started with Stena Bulk LLC in June 2005.

His education includes a B.S. in Marine Transportation from Texas A & M University at Galveston and a J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Houston.

John has sailed in the U.S. Merchant Marine as an A.B. and licensed Third Mate. He moved shoreside in 1996 with American Eagle Tankers Agencies where he worked in the operations and chartering departments focusing on aframax lightering and Caribbean crude oil transfers. More recently he has worked for the P & I law firm of Cohen, Gorman, & Putnam L.L.P. where he managed shipboard investigations and related litigation in federal and state courts.

In his spare time he enjoys long distance cycling in rural Houston and the Austin hill country.
