Mats Karlsson

Mats joined Stena Bulk AB in 1997 in the commercial operations department. In 2004, Mats spent a year working at Northern Marine Management, Stena’s in-house technical management company in Glasgow. In February, 2005, Mats moved to Stena Bulk Ltd in London to take up his present position as Manager, Commercial Operations.

Mats holds a Master's Certificate for ocean-going vessels, he has 10 years of seagoing experience in different positions, from AB to Chief Officer. He spent most of his years at sea on tankers, from small product tankers to VLCCs. Mats is a member of Intertanko’s Documentary Committee.

Mats and his wife Beatrice have a daughter, Olivia, who was born in 2003. His hobbies, besides spending time with his family, are long-distance running and golf.
