NMM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stena AB. The company provides ship management services to the Stena Sphere Shipping divisions. That includes manning, management and maintenance of the vessels of Stena Bulk and Concordia Maritime. But the reputation of Northern Marine Management as a cost effective, quality Ship Manager has also attracted business from external clients who now contribute to almost 80 % of the company’s turnover.
Since Northern Marine Management was formed in 1983, the company has expanded heavily and is responsible for the management and/or manning of more than 100 vessels of varying types and sizes. The company is based in Glasgow, Scotland. Offices are also located in Aberdeen, Gothenburg, Hamburg, Houston, Manila, Mumbai and Singapore. Altogether Northern Marine Management employs about 6,800 multinational seafarers.
