Ulf Bäcklund

Ulf Bäcklund, born 1972, joined Tanker Chartering department in April 2003. He started off working VLCCs and Suezmaxes but is today handling dirty and clean MRs in the Atlantic basin..

Ulf took a University degree in Business Administration in 1997 at the University of Gothenburg. He thereafter worked one year at Handelsbanken before joining B&N Transbulk in May 1998. At Transbulk he was working in the dry cargo Panamax segment with chartering and operations.

He and his wife Sofia have two daughters, Ella, born January 2003 and Vera born 2006. Most of his spare time is now spent together with the family. Otherwise, when time allows, he enjoys some exercising and outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, climbing and kayaking.
