Danyang Fang was born in 1968 in Dalian, China, the scenic city known for shipbuilding. She joined Stena in July, 2003.
Danyang Fang studied Naval Architecture at Shanghai JIAOTONG (Communications) University and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor's Degree. During the following 10 years she worked for China Shipbuilding Trading Company, the trading arm of the country's shipbuilding industry, where she contributed to 46 newbuilding projects valued at over USD 1.3 billion.
In 2003, she got the MBA degree from the program jointly sponsored by MIT Sloan School of Business and Tsinghua University. In July 2003, she was appointed Chief Representative of the Stena Beijing Office.
